Quick take
United States Solar Energy (USSE) has been approved by Oncor under the Umbrella Contract and our EEPM account is live. This establishes our eligibility to participate in Oncor’s energy efficiency programs and to submit incentive applications where applicable.
Oncor Confirmation: “Your umbrella contract application to participate in Oncor's energy efficiency programs has been approved, and your EEPM system account has been successfully created.”
1. What “Umbrella Contractor” Actually Means
The umbrella approval is the gate. It lets us manage our profile in Oncor’s EEPM portal, request program associations, and submit projects. It is not a blanket approval for every program or project. Each program has its own application window, budget, rules, and an addendum we must execute.
Bottom line: fewer hurdles just to get started, faster movement once a property qualifies, and a compliant way to capture available Oncor incentives.
2. Programs We Can Access (Subject to Program Rules)
Commercial Standard Offer (CSOP)
Incentives tied to verified kW/kWh savings for non-residential customers in Oncor’s service area. Scope must match the program’s measure list and M&V requirements.
Commercial Load Management
Pays for curtailable summer on-peak demand. Useful when we add BESS or load controls alongside solar to shave peaks.
Residential & Small Business SOPs
Separate tracks with their own eligibility, incentive tables, and application steps. We verify fit and budget availability before we engage.
Other Seasonal Programs
Oncor periodically opens additional program options. EEPM is where timing, forms, and budgets are posted.
Programs are budgeted and can change year to year. Enrollment and incentive levels are not guaranteed.
3. Why Property Owners Should Care
- Speed: We’re already through the portal and contracting hoops. Less paperwork drag.
- Stackable value: Oncor incentives can pair with PPAs, federal tax credits/bonus, and even C-PACE financing where applicable.
- Lower execution risk: We work to program standards up front so payments don’t stall later.
4. How We Run an Oncor-Incented Project with You
1) Fit & Data
Load profile and 12-mo bills, site photos, and a quick walkthrough. We screen against current program rules and budgets.
2) Measure Plan
Right-size solar/BESS and any efficiency measures. Align savings calcs with Oncor’s M&V approach.
3) EEPM Submission
We request the relevant program association, execute the program addendum, and submit the project package.
4) Build & Verify
Install, commission, then document savings for incentive payment. You get the benefit; the grid gets relief.
5. FAQ: The Fine Print (No Fluff)
A: No. It unlocks access. Each program still needs an application, acceptance, and a signed program addendum. Budgets are limited and rules can change.
A: Oncor’s energy efficiency programs are funded via an Energy Efficiency Cost Recovery Factor (EECRF) and are administered under PUCT rules.
A: Typically yes, subject to program and financing rules. We design for stackability and compliance from day one.
A: Depends on program windows and review queues. We front-load requirements so submissions are clean and move faster.
Tap Oncor Incentives with USSE
If your facility is in Oncor territory, we’ll check eligibility, quantify savings, and submit a compliant package through EEPM. No guesswork, no wasted cycles.
*Umbrella approval enables participation but doesn’t guarantee project acceptance or incentive amounts. Final terms depend on program rules, budgets, and verified savings.
